Founded in 1988, Olympus manages over $8.5 billion on behalf of corporate pension plans, public retirement systems, university endowment funds, and the executives of Olympus' portfolio companies. The majority of our limited partners have been investors with Olympus for decades, and Olympus Growth Fund VII, our latest offering, has committed capital of $3.0 billion.
In order to maximize the time spent working with each and every portfolio company, we limit new investments to only three or four each year. Our preferred investment size ranges from $50 million for growth capital deals to $300 million or more for buyouts. Many of our businesses pursue an acquisition-based strategy and we consider it a core competency. We can help with every step of the M&A lifecycle, including:

Capital market decisions
We work with our companies to determine the right time to raise additional capital and to create the optimal capital structure. We then facilitate subsequent rounds of debt and equity financing, as appropriate.

We help management evaluate the industry landscape, exploit competitive advantages, and focus on the fastest growing, most profitable business opportunities. We strive to establish near-term, tactical priorities, ensuring that resources are optimally deployed to maximize company performance.

- Leveraging our network of contacts to introduce potential channel partners
- Conducting meetings with potential partners

Budgeting and Financial Analysis
We provide assistance to management during the budgeting process and serve as an analytical resource for management to utilize when making complex financial decisions.
We work with management to address the personnel needs of the organization and then help find the right people through our extensive network of contacts, as well as coordinating the activities of third-party search firms.

Our Partners have average investment experience of over 23 years, including an average of 17 with Olympus. Unlike other private equity firms, at Olympus, the same group guides every investment from purchase to sale creating an efficient, professional and rewarding investor/management relationship.
