manages over $1.7 billion on behalf
of corporate pension plans, public
retirement systems, university
endowment funds, and executives
of Olympus' portfolio companies.
The majority of our limited partners
have been investors in Olympus
funds for over 10 years. We are
currently investing capital from
our fourth fund, Olympus Growth
Fund IV, a $757.5 million fund
formed in July 2003.
While our fund size has steadily increased over the years, we have maintained a consistent investment strategy. We seek to form long-term partnerships with strong management teams and to work collaboratively with them to achieve their companies’ growth objectives. Recognizing that the single most important determinant of a company’s success is management execution, we devote ourselves to providing the support our management teams need to maximize their effectiveness and consequently, their companies’ value.
In order to devote as much time as possible to working
with each of our portfolio
companies, we purposely limit
the number of investments
we make to five or six each
year and look to invest larger
dollar amounts in each company.
Our preferred investment size
ranges from $10 million for
venture capital deals to $150
million or more for buyouts.
